Job Description

JOB TITLE: Computer Operator (First Shift)

REPORTS TO: Computer Operations Supervisor

OVERVIEW OF ROLE: Support both internal and external customers as it pertains to running reports, trouble shooting printer issues, monitoring system performance and usage, trouble shoot PC issues among the variety of job tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate the computer console and responds to system operator messages as required. Perform required daily or weekly backups of files.
  • Assure that all scheduled reports and tasks have been completed as required and distribute reports generated from the system as required.
  • Perform any preventative maintenance procedures assigned by the lead computer operator.
  • Provide internal customer service to personnel from other departments and service center locations.
  • Demonstrate personal reliability by consistently meeting attendance / punctuality commitments.
  • Support teamwork by cooperating with others and willingly putting forth effort to achieve Company goals.Establish and maintain good working relationship with other team members.
  • Fully support all technologies and processes, introduced by Ward, that are intended to improve efficiencies and/or the customer experience.Support would include adherence to training programs, guidelines and processes associated with these systems.
  • Act as first line of support for handling problems with all computer related hardware (i.e. pc's, printers, etc.). Perform trouble shooting and place service calls to vendors.
  • Perform PC maintenance on PC's (Run malware, virus sweeps, defrags and install Microsoft updates.).
  • Assist in covering Computer Operations as needed.
  • Assigned task by the Supervisor in conjunction with assisting other departments.
  • Training will be provided to the qualified applicant.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to install computer hardware and software as required via training.
  • Must be willing to be trained in computer operations.
  • Must be a team player working with all departments and service centers.
  • Ability to work required hours (night shift, overtime if applicable) and travel if necessary.
  • Must have a capacity to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Must have some Analytical skills.

SHIFT:

  • Monday through Friday 6:00(am) until 1:30(pm).
