Job Description

JOB TITLE:  Manager of Process Improvement

REPORTS TO:  Vice President of Operations

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:  Responsible for becoming proficient in all aspects of Service Center management in order to teach/train SC's in best practices. 

Ward Trucking LLC is currently accepting applications for a Manager of Process Improvement in anticipation of upcoming or future growth opportunities.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel regularly throughout the system in order to provide training to Operations Team members.
  • Teach OPS SC teams on best practices in order to improve overall quality of our services and efficiency of our operations.
  • Temporarily fill-in throughout the system as needed for any aspect of Service Center management or administration.
  • Create training materials for group training sessions.
  • Conduct training sessions for selected OPS team members (as well as all new hires) for further development of their skill sets.
  • Look for opportunities to improve processes system wide
  • Coordinate their training efforts with other field training team members so as to not overwhelm SC's they are visiting.

 

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
 
•         Needs to be proficient in all aspects of service center operation, including all shifts of
          the operation, administrative, and clerical support functions.
•         Needs to be domiciled out of the Western Pennsylvania or Ohio area.
•         College degree or industry experience
•         Willingness to accept responsibility.
•         Willingness to travel throughout system.
•         Must be self-starter and be able to work without supervision.
•         Must be able to adjust to stressful situations
•         Good oral and written communication skills.
•         Must be a team player, team builder and team leader.
•         Must be proficient in Excell as well as basic computer knowledge with willingness to
          learn more (P&L knowledge etc).  
 
MISCELLANEOUS:
 
•         18-24 month program depending upon progress.
•         Quarterly performance review
